When hiring makes sense
Trade fairs, events and launches
Electric vehicles in exhibition halls, at motor shows, dealer events, roadshows or test-drive days – organisers often ask for a fire safety plan for the vehicles.
Film, photo and commercial shoots
Vehicles on set, in studios or on location: the blanket stays on site for the production and goes back afterwards.
Construction and refurbishment
Refurbishing car parks, installing charging infrastructure or periods with limited fire protection systems – as an additional measure for the transition.
Bridging until delivery
You have ordered blankets but delivery takes a while? A rental blanket closes the gap.
Pilot use before buying
Find out where the blanket is stored, who deploys it and how procedures work – before you invest for several sites.
Seasonal and temporary areas
Overflow parking, vehicle storage areas, ports and handling yards or temporary charging parks.

How hiring works
- Enquiry: Tell us the rental period, location, vehicle types and number of blankets.
- Quote: You receive the rental rate, delivery and return in one quote.
- Delivery: The blankets arrive ready for use with the manufacturer’s instructions and data sheet. A briefing or training for your team can be arranged.
- Return: After the rental period the equipment comes back; we inspect every blanket before it is hired out again.
Rental terms in brief
- The rental period starts on delivery and ends on return.
- Shipping within Germany and to other European countries on request; collection in Darmstadt by arrangement.
- If a hired blanket is actually used on a fire, it cannot be returned. You then take it over at the new price less 15 %.
- According to the manufacturer, the blanket is deployed by two trained people. Agree storage location and responsibilities before the hire starts.
- Tip: let the local fire service or the event organiser know where the blanket is stored.
A fire blanket is a containment aid. On its own it does not stop thermal runaway in a lithium-ion battery and it does not replace the fire service or required fire safety measures.
